Last month’s Pinterest LIVE! event was our biggest group yet! Over 25 ladies turned out to make our Reclaimed Wood Entryway Rack project…

We had prepared all the boards in advance, and each was rustic and unique, just waiting for some paint!

Amanda started off with a demo of the super-simple Dry Brush technique…

Then everyone got started with their boards! Brandi chose Old Ochre…

Helen went with French Linen…

And Shanequa chose Primer Red.

Here’s a shot of Erin & her mom, Laurie (they both chose French Linen)… we had three mother-daughter groups that night, so fun!

Next up was the stenciling… We created custom vinyl decals for everyone, then used the outer part as a stencil with Chalk Paint® for a more weathered and rustic look.

Once the paint was applied, we just peeled it back and voila! Here’s Lucia, getting a little help from a friend…

Once again, the projects came out beautifully! Here are a few of our smiling customers with their finished boards, ready to be displayed at home!

So who’s ready for the next one?!

For our July Pinterest LIVE! event, you can Design Your Own Reclaimed Window Frame!

We’ll be revealing our version tomorrow evening on Instagram (which will also post to Facebook, so be sure to follow us HERE ; )

Check out some examples on our Pinterest Board HERE.

We hope you’ll join us on Thursday, July 24th at 7:30 p.m. at Suite Pieces (1038 New York Avenue, Huntington Station, NY)! Event cost is $49 (add an additional $5 to include the weekly calendar vinyl in your design), and includes all materials & instruction, plus a fun evening out with wine, chocolate & friends!

Purchase your tickets HERE.

We’ll start by painting our window frames using our fabulous line of Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan to create a beautiful rustic surface. You can distress with sandpaper, or create a smooth surface. Then let your creativity run free as you customize your six-pane window with supplies like chicken wire, jute and mini clothespins, and of course Chalk Paint®. We’re also offering a set of black vinyl days of the week for just $5 more, so you can create your own weekly calendar dry-erase board – just use a chalk ink pen to write directly on the glass, which we have available in the shop!

We’ve used our picking skills to amass a large collection of six-pane vintage windows. Most will measure around 31.5Wx28H with the individual panes measuring 8.5Wx11.5H – but each window is one-of-a-kind and will have slight variations.
A few days before the event, we’ll email you with pictures of each window and a corresponding #.  Contact us either by email, phone call or stopping by the store to select your window. First come first serve for individual windows. You can also choose the night of the event.
If you would like us to remove any of the glass from your window panes, please let us know when you stop in or contact us. (You may wish to remove a few and replace with the chicken wire – or you can place the chicken wire in front / behind.)
Use your window frame as a bulletin board, picture frame – whatever you choose! Bring your own pictures, decorative paper  or any other supplies to the event if you choose, so you can play around and personalize your look. We’ve seen the panes used as individual frames or with one enlarged picture – both look fantastic! Take a peek at a few examples from our Pinterest Board.
Feel free to get measurements for your window when you pick it out and have a picture enlarged at Staples before the event. We’ll even help you decoupage it on ; )
Want to learn how to make a burlap bow? Just ask…we’ll have that available too ; )
Don’t miss out on this completely unique event… Purchase your tickets HERE & tell your friends ; )
We can’t wait to see you!
