Pinterest LIVE! Reclaimed Entryway Rack re-cap & July project reveal
Last month’s Pinterest LIVE! event was our biggest group yet! Over 25 ladies turned out to make our Reclaimed Wood Entryway Rack project…
We had prepared all the boards in advance, and each was rustic and unique, just waiting for some paint!
Amanda started off with a demo of the super-simple Dry Brush technique…
Then everyone got started with their boards! Brandi chose Old Ochre…
Helen went with French Linen…
And Shanequa chose Primer Red.
Here’s a shot of Erin & her mom, Laurie (they both chose French Linen)… we had three mother-daughter groups that night, so fun!
Next up was the stenciling… We created custom vinyl decals for everyone, then used the outer part as a stencil with Chalk Paint® for a more weathered and rustic look.
Once the paint was applied, we just peeled it back and voila! Here’s Lucia, getting a little help from a friend…
Once again, the projects came out beautifully! Here are a few of our smiling customers with their finished boards, ready to be displayed at home!
So who’s ready for the next one?!
For our July Pinterest LIVE! event, you can Design Your Own Reclaimed Window Frame!
We’ll be revealing our version tomorrow evening on Instagram (which will also post to Facebook, so be sure to follow us HERE ; )
Check out some examples on our Pinterest Board HERE.
We hope you’ll join us on Thursday, July 24th at 7:30 p.m. at Suite Pieces (1038 New York Avenue, Huntington Station, NY)! Event cost is $49 (add an additional $5 to include the weekly calendar vinyl in your design), and includes all materials & instruction, plus a fun evening out with wine, chocolate & friends!
We’ll start by painting our window frames using our fabulous line of Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan to create a beautiful rustic surface. You can distress with sandpaper, or create a smooth surface. Then let your creativity run free as you customize your six-pane window with supplies like chicken wire, jute and mini clothespins, and of course Chalk Paint®. We’re also offering a set of black vinyl days of the week for just $5 more, so you can create your own weekly calendar dry-erase board – just use a chalk ink pen to write directly on the glass, which we have available in the shop!
