We saw lots of bright and fresh color combinations – check out the Barcelona Orange & custom “Tiffany Blue” boards from Dawn and Danielle!
And I think everyone went home obsessed with the wash technique we taught… it’s so easy to create amazing dimension with Chalk Paint®!
The wash technique just reminds me of the gorgeous furniture you’d find at a beach resort…
Lots of other interesting things happened… For one, we had a Newsday photographer taking pictures all night. We can’t wait for our Home section feature to run!
For another, our six cases of wide-mouth mason jars went missing less than an hour before the event… I kid you not! After calling all over town, we found some replacements at Value Drugs in Greenlawn. I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times – that place has everything you never knew you needed!
We stayed cool under the pressure and had a blast creating one-of-a-kind organizers with a great group of ladies!
We can’t wait to see the pictures of these beauties hanging in your homes! We heard lots of different uses – from kitchen spices to kids’ reward jars! We love the creativity we see in these events.

Personalized Reclaimed Wood Entryway Racks!
I say it every month, but this one might just be my most favorite yet… I have a soft spot for anything rustic chic, and this reclaimed wood project was so fun to create!
We’re offering you a choice of iron hooks (as shown in our sample) or crystal knobs – for those of you who want to go glam!
We hope you’ll join us on Wednesday, June 25th at 7:30 p.m. at Suite Pieces (1038 New York Avenue, Huntington Station, NY)! Event cost is $49 with hooks or $58 with crystal knobs, and as always includes all materials & instruction, plus a fun evening out with wine, chocolate & friends!
We’ll teach you how to use a dry brush technique using our fabulous line of Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan to create a beautiful rustic surface. We’ll then apply customized vinyl stencils with your family name and “established” date (leave those details in the comments at checkout), which we’ll then paint with your color choice. We’ll finish our boards with a combination of clear and dark wax, and your choice of iron hooks or crystal knobs ($9 additional). You get access to our entire line of colors and supplies, plus you’ll learn one of the classic techniques we teach in our Intro to Chalk Paint workshop ($180 for 4-hours of instruction).
