May Color of the Month
We’re still riding high after the fabulous Grand Opening weekend for The Shops at Suite Pieces (formerly known as Yankee Peddler Antiques)! If you weren’t able to stop by the festivities, we hope you’ll swing by soon and see all the changes and meet some of our fabulous new dealers.
And why not pick up one of our colors of the month for May while you’re at it?! This month we’re featuring Chalk Paint® in Versailles, and Milk Paint in Eulalie’s Sky & Linen. Take $5 off a quart or $1 off a sample jar in any of these light and airy colors.
Versailles is a lightly yellowed dusky green that is sophisticated and gentle, yet it works well with modern pieces too. It pairs well with other colors and changes its character accordingly. With Old White or Cream it will look the part of a French antique, but paired with Duck Egg Blue or Coco it will give off a sassy modern vibe.
Check out this beautiful hutch, refinished in Versailles by one of The Shops dealers, Simply Shabby – a total steal at $350!
Eulalie’s Sky is a pale greenish-blue named after the color in the sky of a cow painting by artist Cindy Austin.
Marian (aka Miss Mustard Seed) named the cow Eulalie and she has hung happily in her home for several years and has become a trademark of Marian’s style. This color pairs well with Kitchen Scale and Linen – our other MMS Color of the Month ; )
We used this color to add a pop of color to our glam bathroom makeover for The Shops…
Linen is the cream in the Miss Mustard Seed line. Named for linen fabrics that have slightly yellowed with age, this color has warm undertones and is a nice, creamy white.
Mix Linen with colors to make the color lighter and warmer. Linen mixes and pairs especially well with Apron Strings and Kitchen Scale.
So throw open the windows, open a can (or bag!) of paint, and give your surroundings a whole new look with one of these beautiful colors!
See you soon!
