General Finishes Extender
Extender is a wetting additive used to increase the drying time of water-based stain, topcoat or glazes.
This product will extend the dry time.
How to use Extender:
- Mix into any water-based General Finishes Product to allow a longer “open” time.
- Apply the products as you normally would.
- HOW MUCH TO ADD: 10-20%: Add in the minimum amount first and slowly add more in 5% increments (especially with topcoats, they are already thin). Less is always better when you are using additives.
- Extender can also be used by dipping a brush and adding directly to the finish (this works well with the glazes)
Extender can be used with exterior & interior products and does not change the square foot coverage of a product.
