Artisan Enhancements Clear Topcoat Sealer
Clear Topcoat Sealer is a soya oil based, non-yellowing alkyd, penetrating sealer. It has a creamy color but dries a clear, matte sheen.
Clear Topcoat Sealer is suitable for exterior use and is ok to use with Jolie Matte Finish Paint.
How to use Clear Topcoat Sealer:
- Stir thoroughly.
- Apply a THIN coat using a roller or brush. Coat should look “wet” not “milky”
- Allow first coat to fully dry (for best results wait 12-24 hours) before applying a second coat.
- Allow 48-72 hours for the surface to fully dry before use.
Since Clear Topcoat Sealer is a penetrating sealer, & Jolie Matte Finish Paint is porous, it can yellow the lighter colors. To avoid this, apply two thin coats BEFORE you paint to seal the surface, similar to shellac.
Clear Topcoat Sealer can be used in lieu of varnish, shellacs & waxes. Several coats recommended for best protection.
Clean up with soap & water.
