January is here – and baby it’s cold outside! When the weather hits the single digits, the best thing to do is to stay inside – and paint! We’re offering 10% off your purchase of Annie Sloan’s Greek Blue Chalk Paint® and Miss Mustard Seed’s Ironstone Milk Paint as our January Color of the Month promotion… two gorgeous wintery colors, just right for this time of year.

I’m crazy about this gorgeous carved nightstand in Greek Blue with Empire Gold gilding wax that Amanda just finished.

Kick your current nightstand to the curb and pick up this beauty in Huntington for just $150! Or better yet – stop by and pick up a sample jar for just $12.95 and give yours a facelift ; ) You’ll probably even have some paint left over for a picture frame!

The featured piece in Brooklyn was done using a wash technique, so you can just see hints of the solid oak peeking through the Greek Blue. Wouldn’t this be a great accent table in a kitchen or entryway? I love the brass White Clad icebox hardware! The perfect vintage touch.

I am a personally a newbie when it comes to Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint, but have been admiring from afar for a long time… what will my first project be?!? I’m so inspired by the gorgeous projects Miss Mustard Seed posts herself, particularly this dresser in Ironstone.

You could even recreate the dark wood look by using the new MMS Curio as a thick base coat before applying Ironstone on top. And see those elegant vintage pulls? Guess where you can find a pretty close match?? Right here at Suite Pieces, just $8 each… Love!

I think I’m finally going to take the plunge and use Ironstone as a wash over my (in)famous “Vitrina” that I purchased on my honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta… and yes, that’s in Mexico. (You thought you had a furniture problem!)

I love this piece to death, but there’s always been something missing… What do you think?! Maybe I’ll add some Mustard Seed Yellow layering, too… I think the raw wood will work beautifully with the Milk Paint. In fact, doesn’t it look like it was painted that way long, long ago?

We want to hear from you! What do you think about our Color of the Month promotion? Does it inspire you to try a new color? Does the discount entice you enough? What else would you like to see us do with it? We’re curious, so please share your thoughts in the comments section!
