Beautiful Transformations!
Giving a piece of furniture new life truly makes us happy at Suite Pieces! Instead of throwing an outdated piece in the trash to die there are millions of options to revive it! From Chalk Paint®, to hardware, to Tempaper®, stencils or Efex Decorative Appliqués, the options are endless. We even have had customers tell us they love their “new” pieces better than the original! Here at Suite Pieces, we also want to INSPIRE you. This post is all about inspiration and transformations!
Amanda’s Gorgeous Blingy Pink Chair! We couldn’t start a before and after post without this chair! This chair was in amazing condition. We first painted the frame using Chalk Paint® in a custom mix of Burgundy, Emperor’s Silk and Pure White. We then used Annie Sloan Clear Wax to seal it and added Gilding Wax in Empire Gold. to really emphasize the intricate details. Believe it or not the fabric was also painted using Chalk Paint® in Pure White and no transformation is complete with out blings in the tufts!!
With the help of The Drapery Lady and J. Scarola Antiques our next transformation came to life! John helped us take on old headboard and footboard and make it into a new bench! We then painted it with Chalk Paint® in Paris Grey and added Old Violet to make the gorgeous details pop! The Drapery Lady created the cushion in the perfect fabric to bring it all together!

Chalk Paint® doesn’t have all the fun with the transformations, Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint does too! We had big visions for this next piece and Milk Paint helped us get the job done! We painted it in Miss Mustard Seed’s Artissimo on the outside and added Grain Sack touches on the inside. It chipped and distressed beautifully to see the underneath wood!

Lastly is a custom piano (yes, you can paint pianos!). We painted this custom for a client and it came out fab!! We painted this with Chalk Paint® in a Old White/Pure White mix. We then did a Paris Grey wash (watch our video to learn how to do a wash!) and added Louis Blue to the accents!
