We have some pretty suite events coming up here in the next couple weeks. I wanted to share a little about them.
First, let me tell you about an event we had last Saturday. It was our first Outdoor Spring Market held in our Huntington parking lot. I emptied my personal furniture shed & my garage, along with some hidden rooms we have in the shop, to offer up some really great pieces at some really great prices.
Why did we do this? Don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere, that’s for sure!!
We I have a little bit of a problem with buying & storing tons of project pieces…that I hope to work on “someday”. And here’s the thing…I have realized that when I need a project, there will never be any shortage of things to work on. We’ve been in business for 6 years and what I have finally come to the realization of, is that when you focus on what you absolutely “LOVE”, what you do will flourish. So…I am letting go of projects that I think are great, so you can find some things you LOVE. I am keeping the things I “LOVE”, that I couldn’t possibly let go until I get my hands on them and do what I want with them. PS, the rain did not stop us! We had a great day. We will DEFINITELY be doing more of these in the future!! Stay tuned!
I have learned this practice not only through my experience with the shop, but also through reading “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying” by Marie Kondo. I talked a little bit about my experiences thus far a couple weeks ago on the blog HERE. I’m taking her theories and putting them into practice in both my personal life & my business life.
So, moving on to the other events we have coming up. We are offering another FREE Demo Day this Sunday. Check out the details HERE. This month we’ll be talking about getting started with Chalk Paint. We ran some specials last month at our demo event so don’t miss out on this FREE event to pick our brains (and possibly score some SUITE deals)! We’ll be doing these every month, so stay tuned for our June event!
And the last event I want to talk about, is really exciting. We’re calling this Suite Pieces Pro. So here’s the deal. We’ve been in business for 6 years. And what we’ve found is A LOT of our customers have either started businesses or wanted to start a business using our products. They’re either selling painted furniture or doing custom work, murals, decorative finishes, etc. A big part of our business has always been helping others and we want to extend that to “business”. So, next week we’re hosting a mini business workshop for those of you who want to or who are already running a business using our products. We want to help you be successful…so we’ll be talking about business structure, pricing & valuing yourself. Check out all the details HERE. We’re hoping to create a little Suite Pieces Pro community.
