J. Scarola Antiques has been in business over 20 years. John is motivated by environment, native America, Folk Art and his lifelong interest in drawing, painting and creating. He designs, builds and sells a variety of architectural and decorative furnishings, as well as sculpture, that show his motivations. John preserves the past by transforming good quality antiques into useable pieces for our current society. He also designs original furniture and other utilitarian objects, either for custom pieces or creatively by his own design. This is often done with reclaimed lumber. Additionally, John creates sculptures in large flowing organic forms, again with found, or reclaimed lumber. J. Scarola Antiques has been vastly featured in magazines such as Country Living, Metropolitan Home, and Architectural Digest. John’s works have been purchased by Bloomingdales, Ralph Lauren, Red Baron Auctions, etc.
