Modern Masters Metallic Paint
Metallic Paint is water-based paint with real metal particles. Pearlescent pigments and traditional color pigments are uniquely combined to create a palette of beautiful, non-tarnishing, shimmering colors.
How to apply metallic paint:
- Use Jolie Matte Finish Paint as a base coat to avoid sanding or priming. Otherwise, surface will need to be prepped with sanding and/or priming (General Finishes Stain Blocker can be used as primer) as with any traditional latex or acrylic paint.
- Stir well prior to use
- Apply with a Cling on brush, Chip brush or roller.
- Start with less paint, a little goes a long way.
Metallic paint comes in opaque and semi-opaque. When using an opaque color, 2 coats are recommended and when using a semi-opaque color, 3 coats are recommended.
Metallic paint is semi-sealing but for best & glossiest results pair with General Finishes High Performance Topcoat in Gloss.
Metallic paint contains acrylics & plastics so make sure you clean your hands and brushes with soap & water before the paint dries.
