Hi all! It’s been a while since we had a chance to post, but we’ve creating some amazing pieces that we just HAD to share! You all know we LOVE sharing and teaching techniques and this will be the first of many Before & After posts. Our goal is to inspire you! Our first post is all about pink & bling We love the glitz and glam here at Suite Pieces and many of our pieces reflect that!

Our first is this gorgeous bubble gum pink dresser using Tempaper®! Tempaper® is removeable wall paper. It comes in tons of amazing colors and prints. We love using Tempaper® as an enhancement. On this dresser we used Tempaper® in Medallion in Platinum. It’s simple to use and best part it’s temporary so you never have to commit! Before we used Tempaper® we painted the dresser in candy-coated pink. This pink has become a hit!! We used Chalk Paint® in 1 part Emperor’s Silk & 8 parts Old White. We used Annie Sloan Medium Brush for an effortless application. We sealed the dresser using Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax and a Waxine Wax Brush. We completed the dresser by using our Filigree Rhinestone Knobs! And did you notice the peeling wallpaper on the before pic?? The answer to your question is, YES, we went right over it with Tempaper® and even if you look up close you can’t see the lumps & bumps! Perfect! A quick note about using Tempaper® on walls…if you plan on removing it once you’re bored with it, you’ll want to apply it to walls painted with satin sheen or above, so no Flat or Matte. If you choose to apply it to a flat or matte finish, the wallpaper will still come off, it may just damage the paint underneath, so it’s your call. Check out this wall we just did in our Massapequa store. How suite!

The next pink & bling treat is this ornate tufted queen chair! We first painted this chair in a custom blend of Chalk Paint® in 2 parts Burgundy, 1 part Emperor’s Silk & 1 part Pure White. We then sealed it using Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax. To bring it to the next level of blingy-ness we added Gilding Wax in Empire Gold and put our Amanda Bling Buttons into the tufts! This chair is fit for a Queen! And PS…it’s not for sale, I’m hoarding this piece as my office chair…hehehe!

Lastly in our Pink & Blingy series is our Pink Slipper Chair. To get this lovely shade of pink we made a custom mix of  Chalk Paint® in 1 part Primer Red & 16 parts Old White. Like the last two pieces, we sealed it using Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax.  Keeping with the blingy & glitz theme we added Gilding Wax in Empire Gold & Jill Bling Buttons!
